These terms apply to all translation work carried out by Technilingual. By approving a quote, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, just ask at hello@technilingual.com.
1. Who we work with
Technilingual is a trading name of William Evans. Our services are provided to businesses only, not to private individuals acting as consumers.
2. Quotes and pricing
- Prices are based on the word count of the source document, per 1,000 words: Tier 1 £80, Tier 2 £120, Tier 3 £160.
- Your quote confirms the price, languages, tier and expected turnaround. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
- Prices exclude VAT, which will be added if it applies.
- If the source document changes after we have quoted, we may need to update the quote. We will always agree this with you first.
3. Free samples
We may translate a short sample free of charge so you can judge the quality. Samples carry no obligation on either side.
4. Delivery, review and approval
- We deliver the translated files to you first, so you can review them before paying anything.
- One round of revisions is included on Tier 2 and Tier 3 work. Further changes, or changes to the source text, may be charged separately.
- Turnaround times are estimates agreed per project. We will tell you promptly if anything is likely to cause a delay.
5. Payment
- Once you confirm you are happy with the work, we send an invoice. Payment is due within 7 days unless we agree otherwise.
- Payment is by bank transfer, using the details on the invoice.
- We may charge statutory interest and compensation on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
6. Your responsibilities
- Send us the final version of your source documents, and tell us about any terminology, style or regulatory requirements.
- Make sure you have the right to have the documents translated.
- Choose the right tier. Tier 1 is not intended for safety-critical or regulated content.
- Review the translation before use. You remain responsible for your products and for meeting the regulatory requirements in the markets you sell into.
7. Confidentiality and data
We treat your documents as confidential and use them only to carry out your project. Documents are deleted 7 days after payment is completed. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
8. Ownership
Once your invoice is paid in full, you own the rights in the translation we produce for you.
9. Cancelling a project
You can cancel at any time by letting us know. If work has already started, we will invoice you for the work completed up to that point.
10. Liability
- We take great care with every translation. If something is wrong, tell us and we will correct it at no extra cost.
- Our total liability for any project is limited to the fees paid for that project.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, business or reputation.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
11. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
